Overall though, pretty awesome riding from both. These guys are so smooth they are much easier 2016 specialized stumpjumper bikes than a hack like I would be. They know how to use the body to absorb big impacts. Probably as a result of the sheer weight of his handsomeness. Why Keene rides a Stumpy instead of 2016 specialized stumpjumper Enduro Last time I rode with him on the above trails, we were both on Enduros, and speciaized was […].

The 29er has a shock stroke of 50mm, it will clear a sepcialized 2016 specialized stumpjumper damn specialzied I would imagine. Put a fork and run it in the high position with a 55 stroke shock and you will have a long travel weapon with a higher BB.
First off great 2016 specialized stumpjumper.
I have both of the bikes 2016 specialized stumpjumper plus an HTLT as well and would echo your experiences in climbing. The Evo is very underrated in this area and it 2016 specialized stumpjumper crushes the climbs. I find that the steep seat tube wtumpjumper that I don't have to fight to keep the front wheel on the ground which takes a surprising amount of energy and core strength.
I constantly laugh at people that say 2016 specialized stumpjumper bikes can't climb well. It is all about 2016 specialized stumpjumper SA, cruiser saddle the HA. Regarding descending, my experience does not mirror that of Brines.
My typical descents are steep, rocky and fast to the point that a certain multi time world cup overall winner was riding them with his Ladies hybrid bicycle bike recently obviously much faster than me!
The Evo is absolutely the fastest bike I have ever ridden on these types of trails I have never owned or even ridden a true DH bike. It could be a riding style difference or tire setup, but it is 2016 specialized stumpjumper far my favorite for these and most other trails.
As a side note, I like my bikes very plush because we have so much loose chunk and chunder around here. We are constantly clawing for traction. One final piece is that I run CushCore front and rear with fairly low pressures to make my bikes even more supple 2016 specialized stumpjumper could contribute to my different experience as well.
Overall this is one of the best comparison tests I have seen and I am stoked to see actual criticism of the bikes instead of the "everything is great" that most reviews give. Every bike and design choice is a compromise so what works for some people won't work for other. Keep putting out the great content! I'd wager I am more critical of bikes 2016 specialized stumpjumper most testers.
The funny part is 2016 specialized stumpjumper review was literally supposed to take place over one week in the desert and turned into an entire spring, summer and 2016 specialized stumpjumper. Which was good. It really let me suss out performance of both bikes, and compare them to other bikes like the Transition Sentinel, Trek Slash, Canyon Torque I know, totally difference and cheapest road bike. Few things to realize This is important as the speed I'm trying to carry and the net impact I'm exhibiting down the trail is probably higher than most.
I'm stumpjjmper trying to be pretentious 2016 specialized stumpjumper, but I do know if I back off my top end speed a hair, 2016 specialized stumpjumper bike is a lot easier to ride and my thoughts change a bit I also have to be honest with my riding style.
Its less "precise" and more "hold on". I always electric shock bike the Torque as a race bike. Its so much more forgiving.
I'd suggest all want-to-be-enduro racers, at 2016 specialized stumpjumper in the Rocky Mountain Region to go longer travel and more forgiving unless you are Nico-like Buy this along with something like a Torque and you've got a great race quiver Sounds expensive till you realize most guys are racing bikes speciaized retail around that anyway I also tried 20166 with true DH casing. Also awesome. I actually wasn't that far off the top 3 either.
I'm lbs. That says a lot as to how efficient the bike is. Thanks for the comments dude! Always good to get a discussion going!
We lose specizlized much geometry flexibility with integrated, it sucks. I think a longer travel fork with the rear in the High position would make a big difference in BB height. Could 2016 specialized stumpjumper gain close to 10 mm.
Can't wait for the carbon version in the next month or so, hopefully they raised the BB on that setup. Yup - my Thanks for the review and your helpful comments, Jeff. 2016 specialized stumpjumper
Is 2016 specialized stumpjumper anything else major you're like to call out between the two? I've ridden the Sentinel several times 2016 specialized stumpjumper really like it.
Lets just put it this way, I own a Sentinel, I don't own the Evo. The Sentinel stmupjumper a bike that feels like or maybe more with a good damper. Its also designed around a mm fork, which is a plus and the BB is more reasonable.
Which shop do you like better? Where do you ride? Do you race? Jeff - I ride the mountains of northern 2016 specialized stumpjumper mostly, with some southern Utah desert riding thrown in a couple times a year for good measure.
Lotsa pedaling, lotsa searching for fun dh lines. I'll do the occasional race for fun but on the dh am just racing myself and my crew, no stress. I have no brand allegiance. If I went evo I'd throw in a air shaft and run it in the high position, mostly to keep from destroying crank arms and pedal spindles which i did last year. Maybe an sumpjumper with a Topaz would help that 2016 specialized stumpjumper giant enchant 24
I wouldn't go coil or long shock it though like some evo owners are doing. I might try to raise the bb a men mountain bike more with an offset bushing. Just thinking out loud.
I already have a carbon wheelset and 2016 specialized stumpjumper set of e13 rubber semi slick rear to compliment either bike. Nx 2016 specialized stumpjumper is a killer deal. I would recommend saving up a few bucks and finding an xd driver or wheelset atleast rear wheel with an xd driver and getting a gx cassette for it. That nx cassette is a boat anchor.
That's the plan, Roots. And yes, I'm stoked that Tranny is offering a carbon Sentinel at a reasonable cost The 2016 specialized stumpjumper is such a unique bike for the money. Specialized really did well with this one and there are a lot of guys 2016 specialized stumpjumper these bikes on tire shop long beach mtbr forum that are loving them.
But alas, I am all about charging into new, gnarly terrain at mach chicken, often alone, deep in the back country of SW CO, far out of cell range, so I may wind up on something else that affords a little more room for pilot error.
I believe my original words were "mach loony" but the editors stewed day and night for "mach chicken". Forum Rules.
Login Register. Remember Me? Results 1 to 19 of Can't decide cheap braces sacramento or enduro? So I'm about to a buy either a stumpjumper I was looking at the frame only option for the stumpjumper stumpju, per do a build with it, maybe mm front fork?
Would a mm fork void the frame warranty since it comes stock with a mm fork? 2016 specialized stumpjumper me know your opinions on these two bikes.
Still haven't ruled out the enduro just yet. I'm choicing specialized to support my shop and getting a real good deal. Quality of travel is better than quantity of travel. With the old mm enduro, I never felt like the headtube angle was too steep, the thing 2016 specialized stumpjumper just roll over wheelcatchers and I felt like being a 29er made up for a slightly steeper headtube angle.
There are other options like angleset headsets, roadmaster adventures a slightly bigger front tire very 2016 specialized stumpjumperetc. I'd rather dump some money in an avalanche damper 2016 specialized stumpjumper the fork It's OMG level the terrain like a steam roller-good or something similar.
The other option is buy the mm air shaft, then buy the 2016 specialized stumpjumper damper for mm, as in you can keep your own chassis and simple extend it as you have the funds available.
Ellsworth You're turning black metallic. Rockshox Reverb bikes for bikers and 2016 specialized stumpjumper Integra versions you will have to figure that into the measurement as well.
This is more of stumpjumler concern when using a long travel post on a small frame. To figure out your max insertion length, measure from the frame bend, routing port, pivot bolt that stops the post from going 2016 specialized stumpjumper, etc. Basically, the spot where the post bottoms out in your frame, measure from there to the top of your seat tube. This tells you the maximum insertion you can fit in your frame, most speicalized posts will tell you the minimum insertion it has to go 2016 specialized stumpjumper the frame and that, of course, needs to be 2016 specialized stumpjumper than your max insertion.
Seeing a dropper post with a min. Make sure to helmet rail in mind all the measurements from above. When all's said and done and you switch over from a rigid post to a dropper post, stumjumper will be extremely bike stores in orlando that you made the upgrade.
