No matter how you tried to clean and dry the bottle after use, that black stuff would pretty bicycle helmets start to appear inside the nozzle after a while. It took a bit of effort to literally pry off the nozzle using something more than your bare handswhile the camelbai itself remained on the bottle as part of the cap.

The new nozzle-valve assembly is a vast improvement. The bottle remains camelbak podium big chill 25 oz squeezable to regulate the flow rate. Moreover, the Jet Valve is now built into the nozzle assembly, and the single piece can easily be removed by hand from the bottle cap for cleaning.

Like I always do, I washed the bottles including the tops. After washing the tops still smell bad.

I have now washed several times and the bad smell from the tops still exsists. It leaks like a water trough float valve, it has the insulation properties of cling wrap. The only reason it gets 1 star is because the leak lock on the lid actually works.
